A stronger immune system with reishi

Reishi (ganoderma lucidum) is one of the top 3 medicinal mushrooms and is highly regarded in traditional Chinese herbal science. The powerful mushroom is called ling zi, mushroom of immortality, in Chinese. Reishi, or the stemmed lacquer fungus, grows on tree trunks and has been used for centuries for its positive effects on fitness, vitality and immune system. Shiitake (lentinula edodes) is mainly known as a tasty seasoning for kitchen use, but this delicacy also has various medicinal qualities. Centuries ago, a Chinese doctor reported that shiitake strengthens the immune system and also helps fighting inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, reduced blood circulation and fatigue.

Current scientific research indicates that this mushroom indeed has the same immune-boosting properties as Echinacea, or purple coneflower. It works well against harmful bacteria, viruses and fungi, making you less susceptible to disease. Shiitake is also a source of essential vitamins, minerals, trace elements and amino acids.

Medicinal blend

In addition to the beneficial reishi and shiitake, LifeShield™ Immune Support contains a rich mix of medicinal mushrooms such as lion's mane mushroom (or monkey head mushroom) maitake (hen-of-the-wood), poria, Turkey tail and chaga: all full of beta-glucans, antioxidants, ergosterol derivatives, coriolan and polysaccharides.
